New Toilet Block and Refurbishment of Existing Facilities

Project Location: Greater Nottingham
Scope of Work: New toilet block construction and refurbishment of existing facilities
Key Deliverables: Shower facilities, disabled access, sensor-operated fixtures, hot water system, and an industrial/agricultural finish

Project Overview

KDH Projects was entrusted with the design and build of a new toilet block and the refurbishment of the existing washroom facilities for a leading client in the agricultural and industrial sector. This project aimed to create modern, efficient, and highly functional washroom facilities that align with the client’s operational requirements and commitment to hygiene and user comfort.

The scope of work included the installation of a new toilet block, featuring fully equipped shower facilities, dedicated disabled access toilets, eleven high-quality cubicles, all designed to withstand the demands of an industrial/agricultural environment. A key feature of the project was the installation of sensor-operated taps and flush systems, promoting hygiene and water efficiency and non touch operation.

To ensure optimal hot water distribution, KDH installed a new hot water cylinder and a hot water ring main, guaranteeing consistent supply across the entire facility. The project was designed to complement and enhance the recent office, factory entrance, and canteen refurbishments, also successfully completed by KDH Projects.

Project Execution

KDH Projects delivered this refurbishment and construction project as part of a turnkey solution, working closely with the client from initial concept through to final handover. Our team collaborated with specialist partners, ensuring seamless integration of cutting-edge washroom technology and robust construction methods to meet the highest standards of durability and performance.

Attention to detail was a driving factor in this project, as KDH Projects, a family-run business, maintained a hands-on approach to ensure every aspect of the build met the client’s precise specifications. While the project was delivered on a budget in a commercial application, our commitment to exceeding client expectations through meticulous craftsmanship remained paramount.

Challenges and Solutions

Working within an operational facility required meticulous planning to minimize disruption.
